Meet the Stamp Artists

Though she is "camers shy" CHIYOMI FUNABIKI has shared samples of some of her work, with early designs.Chi is a floral designer, a professional quality fabric artist, an origimi whiz. . .in other words, an all around creative person.

The cards to the right were made using stamps from the Southwest eraser carving images. Chiyomi uses a layering technique well, to create a "full" look. Many of the elements were printed on glossy stock and embossed before being cut out and placed on the finished card. Some of the elements are mounted using 3-D Os.....small, foam disks with adhesive on each side. This makes the images stand out. You can see the shadows created by these sections. The corrugated paper used adds to the texture interest. The edges also set off the stamps well and create added interest.
